Darley Dale

Bred by Bryan Dodsworth and registered in 1998. Dykes Medal 2001.

Named after one of the celebrated Derbyshire Dales through which the beautiful river Derwent flows, a Trout Stream which my father loved.

A classy iris with great shape and structure – a plant with real impact. One of the last irises raised by my father, justly earning him his last Dykes Medal when he was over eighty.

42” (107cm). Standards ruffled white, falls white with yellow hafts; yellow beard. Pronounced fragrance.

[EU Plant Variety Rights in progress].
