Jessica Rosalind

Discover Jesscia Rosalind, a Classic White Bearded Iris. A stunning pure white iris, from our Award Winning Collection of British Irises.

Building your Iris Collection

Start building your collection of ‘Cool’ irises to include different shades of blue (lighter and darker) and the whites.

Note that this is a really striking White Bearded Iris with great structure, form and branching. An impressive iris that produces stunning flowers each year in my garden, and one I look forward to every year. It is named in memory of a young woman who died tragically young.

Plant this Classic White Bearded Iris as a standalone iris in a group, or in a block/’drift’ for impact. This is a must for those who like clear clean cool colours. Mid/Late Season.

Mixing with other Colours

These ‘Dodsworth’ irises combine clear clean colours, great branching and perfect flower shape to create a ‘Perfect’ Iris. Understand why these single colour irises known as ‘selfs’ mix so well with other colours groups to give you real scope to design your own distinctive colour palette.

Plant this White Bearded Iris with both the ‘Cools’ (Blues and Whites)and ‘Softs’ (Pinks/Yellows) so making it a most versatile plant.

This iris has real presence and is a great foil for all Cool colours, particularly the ‘blues’. It flowers late and is great planted with the later flowering pinks Sherwood Pink  and Century Pink; they work brilliantly together.

Planting with Pinks

Just to emphasize the point, remember how useful  ‘Pinks’ are in this context, spanning the early/mid/ late flowering periods. Because of this they give you so many options to extend the iris season. Eileen Louise flowers early, Catherine Seville in mid-season, and both Sherwood Pink and Century Pink are late, very late.

Bred by Bryan Dodsworth.  46″ (117cm). White Self and Beards.
