Wharfedale

Wharfedale is a Classic Blue Bearded Iris. We offer it for the first time and it extends our range of  ‘blues’. This stunning iris is very different;  less ruffled, deeper and more intense than ‘Bryan’s Best Blue’ and ‘Skye Blue’. It has perfect form with classic flower shape and characteristic ‘Dodsworth’ branching. This is a really special iris , hardy and with good bud count. This iris has everything.

Perfect as a standalone plant and mixes well with all Colour Groups: the ‘Cools’ (Whites and Blues), ‘Softs’ (Pale Yellow and Pinks) and the ‘Hots’, particularly the deep yellows, oranges and browns.

Bred by Bryan Dodsworth. Height 42” (107cm). Ruffled mid-blue. White beard. British Dykes Medal 1991.
