A true classic and ‘must have’ for any iris garden. Hardy, vigorous, spectacular with exquisite flowers, performing just as well as it did forty years ago. Some say one of the very best irises my father raised. If you only have space for one iris in your garden, this is the one to choose.
Perfect as a standalone plant and mixes with all Colour Groups: ‘Softs’ (Pale Yellow and Pinks), ‘Cools’ (Blues/Whites) and the ‘Hots’ (Deep Yellows/Oranges/Browns).
Bred by Bryan Dodsworth and named after his daughter, Annabel. Registered in 1973, earning a Dykes Medal in 1977, the first of twelve. 48” (122cm). Standards pale lilac, falls medium lilac.
Irises are hardy and easy to grow providing instructions are followed correctly. Full instructions are provided with each order or you can read more on our Planting Irises page.
Plants are dispatched by post between April and October each year. The delivery charge is based on the number of plants purchased and the delivery destination.
